10 Facts abt Me

Why not, let's talk about myself a little! These original questions are from forkingmad, and I found them via the post on James' Coffee Blog.

Do you floss your teeth?

No, because I get horrible visions in my mind of pulling my teeth out, which gives me a panic attack. It doesn't help that I once pulled a filling and now my brain is convinced it will happen again.

Tea, coffee, or water?

Tea. I live on those yerba matte energy drinks. On chilly evenings I make hot tea.

Footwear preference?

If I had my way, none. As it stands, socks and sandals, boots in the winter. I have wide paws.

Favourite dessert?

All of them??? Okay, getting serious, Japanese cheesecake.

The first thing you do when you wake up?

Put on a record and do the dishes while I make breakfast.

Age you'd like to stick at?

I envy those who are not abandonned by time.

How many hats do you own?

I love hats, we don't wear enough hats these days! I mostly wear caps with brims, like a newsboy or baker boy hat, I don't quite know what they're called. In the summer, trucker hats or golf visors. If I lean over from where I'm sitting, I can see my hat rack with 11 hats on it, but I'm sure some are hiding.

Describe the last photo you took?

Totally on-brand, some lentil curry I made earlier today. I made over a gallon of it at once and had to show off the stash. Curry and rice for me all week!

Worst TV show?

I really don't like thinking of things in terms of "worst" and "best", and avoid hate-watching or spending too much energy on things I dislike. If I don't like it, I turn it off or ignore it rather then dwell in the negative too much. As far as shows I do like, I am enjoying re-watching The Muppet Show :3

As a child, what was your aspiration for adulthood?

I don't know. I wanted to be an actor for a while, I think. I don't know if I ever thought it was something that would be a career, I just enjoyed it. The blinding lights of the stage called to me until I learned I wasn't good enough at shaping my emotions or hiding myself. But that exploration led me to working backstage, where I properly found my place in the cozy dark corridoors and dusty lighting booths, and was inspired eventually to bring what had always been my private writing onstage.
