A Ranking of Locks

A ranking of bathroom locks by how easily you can double check their state from the other side of the room:

No image yet, but I hope to grab one next time, this is the bathroom on the train! A little light turns on! THAT'S how you make a bathroom lock. Bonus points for being on a train. Good thing we aren't ranking the bathrooms themselves, beacuse these tiny stalls are so small I can barely stand, but on the ranking of locks this one is the tops!

9/10

Theater. No notes. This is what every lock should be. Deadbolt seperate from the handle makes it possible to double check after locking, clear bright green/red for each state. One point docked just for room for improvement.

7/10

Art community space. A little tough to see from afar, but gets points for simplicity. Able to double double check after locking.

1/10

Local bar. No photo because of the graffiti/stickers, you will have to use your imagination. This is one of those push-in locks on the handle which unlocks as soon as you turn the handle. Very tough to see from afar, and no way to double check the lock.

Coffee shop. This is the one that inspired this list because damn this is atrocious. The handle is locked from the outside, you get a phyiscal key from the front. But it's always unlocked from the inside, so there is no way to confirm the lock. Additionally, anyone with a second key could get in no problem. I pee as fast as possible in this one.

Welcome to my everyday existence. This is just a fun idea I had, since I'm already mentally scoring every lock in my head.
